Density Threshold - This one's a little hard to explain. *Best for manga/comics to keep this on to create black linesĤ. (The include white in conversion tells it to ignore anything that's not black so it's best to leave it off) It's limited to 16 colors if you turn it off, so it only works with limited monochrome color pallets. Output all in black - This converts the linework to black in case your original image contains colors or gray scale.

*Best to stick with low numbers for corrections for detail, go with higher numbers to decrease detail and increase smoothnessģ. Note that if you go too high, you'll wind up with abstract squiggles. When the number is low you have many control points for accurate line detail including jagged and rough edges, but higher correction means more points are omitted resulting in less detail but smoother lines. These points direct where the line goes by using coordinates and angles and when you "correct" them you are telling it to remove some of these control points for smoother lines.

Correction - When vector lines are created they have what are called control points. *Best to stick with low numbers for line width.Ģ. Larger numbers mean larger amounts of detail is lost. Larger numbers mean each line is thicker, converting non-solid (anit-aliased) edges into solid black. These lines are determined by wherever a darker shade meets a lighter shade such as white/black OR light gray/dark gray in an image. Lower numbers generally mean you are creating linework/outlines like the attached image. Maximum line width - This setting determines the maximum size of the lines that will be created during the conversion process, it's the "brush size" setting during the conversion.

Clip studio has an online manual that goes into some detail ( )ġ. Vector setting are used for converting linework to vectors, like scanning a traditionally drawn image and making them easier to work with for corrections or adjustments.
